Internal political security force celebrates 64th founding anniversary

Minister of Public Security General To Lam sent congratulation flowers to the event.

Deputy Minister of Public Security Senior Lieutenant General Luong Tam Quang attended and addressed the meeting. The event also saw the presence of representatives from various agencies under the Ministry of Public Security, retired leaders and all officers of the Internal Political Security Department.

Over the past 64 years, the internal political security force has seen a fast development and now is deployed from the central level to local ones. 

Generations of political security officers have always stood united, overcome all difficulties and obtained outstanding achievements in the cause of protecting the Party, the socialist regime, and national security, thus contributing to embellishing the heroic traditions of the Vietnam People's Public Security Forces.

For their feats of arms, the internal political security force was awarded the title “Hero of the People’s Armed Forces”, the Ho Chi Minh Medal, the first-class Independence Medal, the first-class Labor Order, three first-class “Feat of Arms” Orders and various other honorable awards.

Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Minister Luong Tam Quang praised the force for their outstanding achievements over the past 64 years. 

Deputy Minister Luong Tam Quang emphasized that in the coming time, the tasks of protecting national security and ensuring social order and safety will require the People's Public Security Forces in general, the internal political security force in particular to strongly renovate their working methods, firmly grasp the internal security situation while proactively advising the Party and State to revise legal documents on political security to suit the new situation.
